内容記述 Glomerella sp. 2 strains (one of which Glomerella cingulata (STONEM.) S. and V. S.) and Guignardia Camelliae (COOKE) BUTLER were isolated from apparently healthy tea leaves in state of latent infection. Percentage of latent infection of these fungi on healthy leaves variel with season. Glomerella cingulata (Colletetrichum Camelliae, small conidial type) causing brown blight showed high latent infection percentage in spring, summer and winter but Guignardia Camelliae showed high latent infection percentage in summer and winter. As to relation between varieties of tea trees and the latent infection percentages of Glomerella cingulata or Guignardia Camelliae in apparently healthy leaves, with varieties resistant to brown blight of tea Glomerella cingulata showed high latent infection percentage, but Guignardia Camelliae showed a low percentage. The latent infection percentages of Glomerella cingulata in parts of center and in contact with petiole of the bla le of leaves showed more frequency than leaf margins. Perithecia of Glomerella cingulata matured after one month in incubation on the potato extracts agar plate, but its maturity was accerelated by ultra-violet radiation. Ascigerous stage of Guignardia Camelliae and Glomerella sp. no. 2 (large conidial type) were obtained by inoculating the hyphae to the healthy tea leaves that were sterilized for 30 minutes at 100℃ in KOCH's sterilizer. Pathogenicity of the fungi and the identity of Glomerella sp. no. 2 shall be clarified in future studies.
