| 内容記述 | In this studies the mechanical properties of old timbers were tested in comparison with new timbers to research the change of properties of wood for many years. The test pieces were taken from Enryakuji Temple (about 310 years ago), Kiyomizu Temple (about 320 years ago) and Tomyoji Temple (about 530 years ago), which were built of wood (Zelkowa serrata MAKINO). The results obtained by this test are as follows. (1) The various mechanical strength are shown on table 8. (2) The change of mechanical properties with the passage of time are shown in fig 2. | |||||
