Agriculture}, month = {Nov}, note = {Authors made strength tests on six samples' ores of weathered Granodiorite gathered at Ohara-gun, Shimane prefecture. The tests are tri-axial compression test and simple shear test. The samples are gathered at Hinobori, Kojiro (lower), Kojiro (middle), Kojiro (upper), Jiryo (the opposite bank) and Jiryo. By these tests, authors found the results below; 1. Joints inside have little effect on shear strength. 2. Four samples, Kojiro (upper), Kojiro (middle), Kojiro (lower) and Jiryo (the opposite bank) show close value of internal friction angle of internal friction, φ=26.0° 3. The sample from Jiryo shows the least value of angle of internal friction, φ=19.3° 4. By the results of simple shear test, when normal stress exceeds 1.5kg/(cm)^2,the value of angle of internal friction increases rapidly. 5. To expound the rapid increase of angle of internal friction, we devise the conception of 'effective inter-granular stress' through the inquiry on the model of the samples in weathering process. 6.
