Human environment and agriculture","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_3_description_10":{"attribute_name":"抄録(日)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"香川県小豆島の50年生ウバメガシ低木林の物質生産量について調査した。試料木6本を伐倒し,層別刈取りを行った。林分の現存量や重量成長量は相対成長関係式を用いて推定した。地上部現存量(幹枝239t/ha,葉10.7t/ha)は樹高(9.5m)が低いために多くはなかった。しかし林分が占有する空間当たりの地上部現存量密度(2.6kg/m3)は大きかった。積上げ法で推定した純生産量は33.6t/ha/yrであり,照葉樹林の中で最大クラスに入った。葉の垂直分布は広葉草本型で,上部2m層に葉現存量の85%が集中分布していた。典型的な単層林型のウバメガシ林が高い純生産量をもつことは,炭素貯留の側面からも注目される。","subitem_description_language":"ja","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_3_description_11":{"attribute_name":"抄録(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"We quantified dry matter production in a 50-year-old pure stand of Quercus phillyraeoides by destructively sampling the aboveground components of six trees and using the data to develop relationships between DBH^2 and various tree components. Aboveground biomass and production rates were estimated for the stand using these relationships and DBH data from a larger sample of living trees. The production rates (i.e., growth rates in dry weight) of stem and branches were obtained from the bulk density and volume increases over time measured by stem analysis. The aboveground biomass was relatively low at 250 t/ha, because tree height was only 9.5 m on average. However, the aboveground biomass density (dry weight divided by the 3-D space occupied by the stand) was quite high at 2.6 kg/m^3. Using values and relationships from other reports that have published, we summed production rates of the various tree components and determined the aboveground net production rate at 33.6 t/ha/yr, one of the highest values ever recorded for the generally productive lucidophyllous forests of Japan. Eighty-five percent of the leaf biomass was concentrated in the upper 2 m of the canopy layer.
