| 内容記述 | An investigation of indoor VOC concentration and a questionnaire survey were carried out in 17 single-room apartments (apartments for single persons) in Kyoto city. The results are: 1) In one apartment, the concentration of TVOC exceeded the provisional objectives set by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. In 12 apartments, the concentration of HCHO exceeded the guideline of the Ministry. 2) No correlations were found between VOC concentration and apartment age or VOC concentration and years of occupancy. 3) In apartments with high VOC concentration, new furniture made of plywood or two or more chemicals were present. 4) Few residents open windows often but most residents are accustomed to using ventilation fans. 5) Many residents have not taken any measures to cope with the sick-house syndrome, despite such measures being in their own self-interest. 6) It appears that people who are more concerned with the sick-house syndrome have more subjective symptoms of the syndrome. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
