| 内容記述 | 2,4-D aqueous solution was injected into the young ovaries of Nicotiana tabacum, N. alata and N. sylvestris after emasculation. Fruits obtained by 2,4-D treatment grew faster than those following pollination during the first few days, thereafter the pollinated ones started to grow more rapidly. This result perhaps owes to the fact that in the pollinated ovary there was a continuous renewal of the growth substance while in the treated one the growth substance later became depleted. In the capsules grown from the treated ovaries are numerous seeds, many of which are empty, but few have black seed coats and seem as like normal. | |||||
